Leicester City striker Islam Slimani will miss his side's Champions League clash with FC Copenhagen through injury.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has revealed that striker Islam Slimani will not feature against FC Copenhagen.

Slimani was a notable absentee as the Foxes drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, but he was believed to be in contention to return for Leicester's fourth Champions League encounter in Denmark.

However, Ranieri has said that he is not prepared to risk the fitness of the club's record signing, and the Algerian will sit out the contest as he continues to nurse a groin problem.

Ahmed Musa has been declared fit by Ranieri after recovering from the knock he sustained at White Hart Lane.
