Leicester City have broken an unwanted English top-flight record after losing at home to Brentford in the Premier League on Friday.
The Foxes hopes of avoiding an immediate return to the Championship were dealt a serious blow against the Bees, who came out of the traps fast during the first period.
By the time that the half-time whistle had sounded, Leicester were already three goals behind, with Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbuemo and Christian Norgaard scoring for the visitors.
The second period was a non-event in front of a lifeless King Power Stadium, where former Liverpool man Fabio Carvalho added a fourth for Thomas Frank's side in the final minutes.
Leicester have now lost 17 of their 26 Premier League matches this season, meaning that they are faltering in their quest to avoid second-tier football next term.

Leicester set unwanted record in Brentford defeat
With confirmation of a four-goal defeat in the East Midlands against Brentford, Leicester officially set an unwanted record after a horrid run of form.
The Foxes are the first side in English top-flight history to lose six straight home matches without finding the net, highlighting their severe struggles at the moment.
This record-breaking losing sequence commenced on December 22, when a number of Danny Ward blunders in net led to a 3-0 scoreline against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
There have been some expected defeats in the run - such as to Manchester City (0-2) and Arsenal (0-2) - but also disappointing results versus Fulham (0-2) and Crystal Palace (0-2).
Ruud van Nistelrooy's troops have conceded a staggering 15 goals across those six matches, last earning a point at the King Power at the beginning of December.

Things could get worse for Leicester
Losing 11 of their last 13 matches across all competitions, things could get worse for Leicester in the coming weeks, judging by their home schedule.
Prior to winnable-sounding battles with Southampton and Ipswich Town in the East Midlands in May, the Foxes will welcome Manchester United, Newcastle United and leaders Liverpool to the King Power Stadium.
Van Nistelrooy's troops are currently occupying 19th position in the Premier League standings, two points behind Wolves in the relative safety of 17th.
