Nampalys Mendy has confirmed that he would like to leave Leicester City after making just one appearance this season.

Nampalys Mendy has confirmed that he would like to leave Leicester City, after a lack of game time this season.

The midfielder has only featured in one match for the Foxes in this campaign, which took place in the EFL Cup against Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, Mendy has been left out of both the Premier League and Europa League squad for the club, which means his time on the pitch is going to be extremely limited.

Leicester did try to create a deal with Galatasaray in the summer, but that did not end up being completed, leaving him stuck.

"I would really love to leave Leicester. It is normal, and logical. I hope that a deal can be done. But I will need to be patient," he said to local media in Senegal while on international duty.

Mendy has performed 80 times for the Foxes throughout his career after signing for the club back in 2016 for £13m.
