FIFA 22 Leicester City ratings: Jamie Vardy, Wilfred Ndidi, Youri Tielemans

Sports Mole rounds up Leicester City's FIFA 22 ratings and picks out the highlights from the King Power Stadium ahead of the full game's release.

With the latest iteration of the FIFA franchise set to be released on October 1, fans have been clamouring to see how players for their sides rank, after EA Sports initially dropped the top 100 players earlier this month.

Ultimate Team website FUTBIN have now released the entire database of ratings for the upcoming game, giving fans of clubs across the world the chance to view their team's upgrades and downgrades on last year.

After last season's FA Cup glory and fifth-placed finish in the Premier League under Brendan Rodgers, Leicester City have certainly been rewarded with more upgrades than downgrades at the top end of their squad, reflecting the Foxes' quick progression in the English top flight's hierarchy.

Here, Sports Mole picks out the highlights of Leicester's FIFA 22 cards and provides the full list of the club's ratings ahead of the game's release.

Jamie Vardy - 86

In a relatively unsurprising move, FIFA developers have kept forward Jamie Vardy as the Foxes' highest-ranking player on this year's game, maintaining an 86 overall rating.

Despite now reaching the age of 34, the English striker did enough to avoid a downgrade for this edition, as he registered 15 goals and nine assists in 34 Premier League appearances last season and has started the new campaign with three goals from the opening five games.

Vardy has seen a slight dip in some of his key stats though, with his shooting dropping from 85 to 84, and pace understandably falling from 88 to 85 - a number still only topped by five other strikers in the English top flight.

Still boasting more than impressive vital attributes, the Englishman remains one of the game's most threatening central strikers, just as he will continue to be a key man in Leicester's push for European football.

Wilfred Ndidi - 85

A far different proposition to Vardy, Ndidi's dominant form in the engine room for the Foxes over the last few seasons has cemented the Nigerian as one of Rodgers's most important assets.

After a particularly impressive 2020-21 season, ranking fourth in the top flight for successful tackles with 96, Ndidi has earned an upgrade to an 85 overall, putting him as the joint-second highest-rated card at the King Power Stadium, level with goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

The Nigeria international has carried his fine form into the new term, successfully completing 15 tackles so far, and his ability to regain possession has resulted in a formidable defending rating of 87, alongside 83 physical.

Youri Tielemans - 84

One of the biggest beneficiaries of the impressive campaign last time around, dynamic midfielder Youri Tielemans has been rewarded for his standout performances with an upgrade to 84 overall, three higher than his FIFA 21 card.

The Belgian featured in all 38 of the Foxes' Premier League games last season, registering six goals and four assists, while also netting three goals in six FA Cup appearances, including a long-distance winner in the 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the final.

That being said, the 24-year-old's impact is felt far more than just in the final third, and he has been handed an impressively well-rounded card as a result, with pace being the only stat to dip below 70, while values of 86 and 80 for passing and dribbling respectively certainly catch the eye.
