Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson: "We won with style"

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson admits that he is pleased with the manner of his team's victory as they eased to a comfortable win over Barnsley at Oakwell.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has revealed that he is delighted with the manner of his side's victory over Barnsley in their Championship clash.

The Foxes cruised to a comfortable win at Oakwell as Jamie Vardy scored either side of half time, as well assisting in Danny Drinkwater's effort in a complete performance from the league leaders.

Pearson told the club's official website: "Important to win, but we won with style tonight. [We're] playing with confidence and continued our good form.

"[The] game here last year was the low point of our season so to come back and play like that is pleasing. [It was] Nice to keep a clean sheet, but that reflects the performance of the whole team, not just the back four."

Leicester hold a 15-point lead over third-placed Derby County in the race for the Premier League, with just 12 games left this season.
