Claudio Ranieri: 'Leicester City showed spirit in Aston Villa win'

Claudio Ranieri says that Leicester City were "fantastic" in coming from two goals down to beat Aston Villa 3-2.

Claudio Ranieri has praised the "spirit" of his Leicester City side as they came from two goals down to win 3-2 at home to Aston Villa.

Villa looked odds-on to secure all three points after they led 2-0 with 20 minutes remaining, but goals from Ritchie de Laet, Jamie Vardy and Nathan Dyer completed a late turnaround.

"After 2-0 we start to play with our spirit and it was a very, very fantastic match," Ranieri told BBC Sport after the final whistle.

"We have [a] very good moment and we scored a good goal. Then that goal gave very good confidence and spirit to everybody. We made a very fantastic second half."

The win stretches Leicester's unbeaten run in the Premier League to nine games, a club record.
