Jamie Vardy: 'Leicester City won't panic after three defeats'

Forward Jamie Vardy insists that Leicester will not over-react to losing three of their opening four games in the Premier League.

Forward Jamie Vardy has said that Leicester City will soon accumulate more points in the Premier League if they can maintain their level of performances.

The Foxes have suffered defeats to Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea since the start of the season, leaving the club in 17th place in the league table.

However, Vardy has insisted that there is no reason for the East Midlands outfit to panic, and has backed Craig Shakespeare's team to start to move up the standings.

The 30-year-old is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "We are still upbeat, we have had Arsenal away, Man United away and Chelsea at home and obviously Brighton at home, where we got the win, but we have played well in each of those games.

"The performances have been good. We have to keep that up and the points will come."

Leicester are next in action when they travel to the John Smith's Stadium to face Huddersfield Town on Saturday, September 16.
