Leicester City manager Claude Puel says that midfielder Andy King could be allowed to leave on loan before the end of the January transfer window.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has suggested that he is open to loan offers for midfielder Andy King.

The 29-year-old has established himself as a club legend, with 62 goals being scored in 378 appearances in all competitions since being promoted to the first-team squad in 2007.

However, due to Adrien Silva's arrival at the start of 2018, King has fallen down the pecking order and it could lead to the Welsh international being allowed to spend the rest of the campaign elsewhere.

The 56-year-old is quoted by the Leicester Mercury as saying: "We will see with Andy. I appreciate him because he is professional and an example for the squad. He is an example for the team and we will see.

"We have a lot of players in his position and it is difficult to give him more game time but we will see what happens at the end of the window.

"Perhaps for some players, without the game time, they would like to go and we will see if there are opportunities for them."

King still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium.
