Leicester City are reportedly locked in contract talks with Sporting Gijon defender Luis Hernandez.
The 26-year-old, who came through the youth system at Real Madrid, has started 30 of Sporting's 32 La Liga matches this term.
The centre-back will be out of contract at the end of the season, however, and a number of clubs have been linked with a move.
According to El Desmarque, Premier League leaders Leicester are currently in advanced talks with the Spaniard and are becoming increasingly confident of signing the defender on a free transfer in the summer window.
Hernandez has made 134 appearances for Sporting in the last four campaigns.
