West Bromwich Albion 'still interested in Leonardo Ulloa'

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly still interested in signing Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa on deadline day, despite seeing an earlier bid rejected.

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly not given up on the idea of signing Leonardo Ulloa from Leicester City this transfer window.

The Baggies saw a bid for the striker turned down earlier this summer, while Swansea City have also been credited with an interest in the 30-year-old.

Ulloa is understood to be open to the possibility of leaving the Premier League champions in order to gain more regular first-team football.

The Argentine made just seven Premier League starts last season, and the arrival of club-record signing Ahmed Musa this summer is likely to push him further down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium.

However, Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has repeatedly insisted that Ulloa is not for sale, and the forward has featured off the bench in all three of the Foxes' Premier League outings so far this season.

West Brom are looking to make a number of additions to their squad before the 11pm deadline this evening, with manager Tony Pulis admitting that he needs to improve every area of the team.
