How Liverpool could line up against Real Madrid

Sports Mole looks at how Jurgen Klopp could set out his Liverpool side for their Champions League final showdown with Real Madrid.

Liverpool face Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday night, almost 13 years to the day since last lifting the famous trophy.

That triumph over AC Milan cemented the Reds' status as Britain's most-successful side on the biggest club stage of them all, but they have not made it as far as the final since 2007.

Jurgen Klopp is now tasked with bringing the European Cup back to Anfield for a sixth time, writing his name - and those of each of his players - into Liverpool folklore in the process.

Ahead of this weekend's final, Sports Mole looks at how Klopp may set out his side for the clash in Kiev.

Predicted Liverpool XI vs. Real Madrid

Out: Joel Matip, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joe Gomez

Klopp has been given a huge boost in the build-up to the match with the news that James Milner and Emre Can have both shaken off injury problems in time to feature.

Can has been sidelined for the past couple of months and Milner missed the 4-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on the final day of the Premier League season, but both are in contention.

Liverpool are still a little light in the middle of the park, though, as Oxlade-Chamberlain is a long-term absentee and Adam Lallana has just 16 minutes of football under his belt since the end of March.

Georginio Wijnaldum therefore looks likely to continue alongside the returning Milner and skipper Jordan Henderson, with Lallana and Juventus-bound Can decent options from the bench.

The back five, including goalkeeper Loris Karius, and front three chooses itself, meanwhile, with Matip and Gomez the only other confirmed absentees for Klopp.
