Liverpool make two changes ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final clash against Blackburn Rovers at Anfield as Steven Gerrard fails to make the squad.

Liverpool have made two changes ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final clash against Blackburn Rovers at Anfield this afternoon.

Lazar Markovic and Glen Johnson come into the Reds starting XI ahead of Alberto Moreno and Joe Allen.

Meanwhile, talisman Steven Gerrard has failed to make the squad altogether, despite returning to training after a hamstring injury.

Rovers have made seven changes to the side which won 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.

Josh King has a hamstring injury while former Liverpool man Jay Spearing is cup tied, having played against the Reds for Bolton Wanderers earlier this season.

Striker Jordan Rhodes is on the bench as top scorer Rudy Gestede plays as a lone striker for the Championship side.

Blackburn: Eastwood, Henley, Baptiste, Kilgallon, Olsson, Marshall, Evans, Williamson, Conway, Cairney, Gestede
Subs: Steele, Spurr, Brown, Rhodes, Taylor, Henry, Lenihan
