Steven Gerrard fit for Liverpool's trip to Swansea City

Steven Gerrard confirms that he is fit to play in Liverpool's trip to play Swansea City on Monday evening after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Steven Gerrard has confirmed that he is fit for Monday night's Premier League trip to face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

The captain has been absent from the Reds' last seven games after suffering a hamstring injury during his side's 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in February.

Today, the midfielder confirmed that he is available to return to the squad for manager Brendan Rodgers.

"I've just got over the hamstring injury and I am fit and available for the next game," Gerrard told the club's official website.

"I want to finish [this season] really strong. I want to leave the team in the top four and hopefully go all the way in the FA Cup, that'll be how I want to sign off."

Gerrard will depart Anfield following a 25-year career in the summer to join MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy.
