Liverpool receive an injury boost as club release photos to confirm Harvey Elliott's progress in his injury recovery process.

Liverpool have been handed a boost by the news that Harvey Elliott has stepped up his recovery from a foot fracture.

Elliott has made just one competitive appearance under Arne Slot after missing the last seven matches through injury.

The attacking midfielder has been sidelined for over a month since sustaining a foot fracture while away with the England Under-21s in September.

Having been out of action for a number of weeks, Elliott appears to be making progress in his bid to return to full fitness.

Liverpool receive Elliott injury boost

Liverpool released an image via their X account of Elliott working on his rehabilitation in the gym at the AXA Training Centre.

In a separate post on Instagram, the Merseyside club released two more images of Elliott stepping his recovery on the training pitch.

England Under-21 international Elliott appeared to be working with one of Liverpool's coaches in a one-on-one session on the grass.

The latest update provides the Reds with a welcome boost ahead of the return of Premier League action this weekend.

Will Elliott be available for Chelsea clash?

Once the international break is completed, Liverpool will begin their preparations for Sunday's mammoth clash with Chelsea at Anfield.

The Reds are expected to go into that fixture without Elliott's services despite the progress that he has made in his injury recovery.

Elliott also faces a battle to be ready for away games against RB Leipzig and Arsenal on October 23 and 27 respectively.

Ultimately, Liverpool will be reluctant to take any risks and will not rush Elliott back until he is deemed to be 100% fit.
