Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen says that his shoulder injury is behind him.

Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has insisted that the shoulder problem that hampered him last season is no longer an issue.

The former Swansea City player had his 2012-13 campaign cut short due to the injury, which required him to undergo surgery, but the Welshman has no concerns over this season.

"It was tough," Allen told the Liverpool Echo.. "But I suppose things like that can give you broader shoulders. It's at the stage now where I feel it's completely behind me."

Allen has travelled with the squad to Norway for their pre-season match against Valarenga.
