Ryan Babel: 'I'm proud of Liverpool's form'

Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel says that he is "proud" to see their good Premier League form this season.

Ex-Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has expressed his pride at seeing his former side at the top end of the Premier League table.

The Reds are currently second and know that a win against Cardiff City on Saturday will send them top of the division, and Babel, who played for the club from 2007-11 tweeted his delight at seeing their good form.

The Dutchman wrote: "Whenever i'm not playing myself i try to catch a game ! Very proud to c that LFC find their selves back after a few difficult years.

"Spurs away has always been difficult in my time at LFC, So it was def a big result !

"If LFC remain the form they currently have, they definitely have a big chance ! Dec/Jan are the most difficult months... C how they do!"

Brendan Rodgers's side beat Tottenham Hotspur 5-0 on Sunday.
