Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers confident goals will come following lacklustre start

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is confident that goals will come following just three strikes in five Premier League games.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that he expects his players to go on a decent run in front of goal following a lacklustre start to the season.

The Merseyside outfit have scored just three goals in the Premier League this season following five games.

A combination of two victories, one draw and two defeats has left Rodgers's side 10th in the table, three points adrift of the top four spots.

"In reality, we are a few points off where we wanted to be," Rodgers said in this afternoon's press conference. "The players coming back will allow us to maximise the level of our performance.

"It's about staying calm [in front of goal], reinforcing how we get into positions for goals. We'll get there."

The Reds will take on Norwich City at Anfield this Sunday.
