Lee Clark: Give Kenny Dalglish time

Lee Clark claims that Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish must be given time.

Former Newcastle United midfielder Lee Clark has said that Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish must be given time.

Clark, who was released from the Magpies during Dalglish's tenure at the club, admits that with time the Scot will prove to be the right man to lead Liverpool back to Premier League title contention.

"This is a manager that can handle the flak," he told Goal.com. "This is also a manager who can get Liverpool competing for Premier League titles again.

"If anyone can do it, it is Kenny Dalglish - not only because of the stature that he has, but also because he is a good manager.

"He won the league championship in his first spell at Liverpool and he won the Premier League title when he was at Blackburn. I am certain that he can do it again."

Newcastle host Liverpool at the Sports Direct Arena this afternoon.
