Fulham manager Martin Jol has reportedly ordered forward Clint Dempsey to train away from the first team due to his potential exit from the club.
The USA international, who has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, was left out of the Premier League outfit's trip to their training base in Switzerland last week.
Despite the Reds' earlier pursuit of Dempsey, it is understood that the Merseyside club have since cooled their interest in the 29-year-old.
"Liverpool are now undecided whether they think the Dempsey move is right," a source told Goal.com. "There is some doubt whether, at his age, he can deliver the consistency of performance for the next few years."
Dempsey has been playing at Craven Cottage since 2009.
