Liverpool full-back Jose Enrique says that he is unlikely to play against Aston Villa this weekend due to a hamstring injury.

Liverpool full-back Jose Enrique has revealed that he is unlikely to feature for the Reds in their Premier League encounter with Aston Villa this weekend.

The Merseyside outfit have the chance to edge nearer to the top four of the league table with a victory over the Midlands outfit but the Spaniard is a doubt after picking up a hamstring problem in Liverpool's 3-2 win over West Ham United last weekend.

"I am okay but I don't know if I'll be ready for the game," BBC Sport quotes Enrique as saying. "It's nothing bad but I don't know if I'll be able to play. I've had some treatment and then we will see. I hope I can be fit for the game."

Meanwhile, Reds goalkeeper Brad Jones has signed a new deal at the club.
