Steven Gerrard 'to turn down MK Dons job'

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard will reportedly turn down the chance to become MK Dons manager.

Former Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard is reportedly set to turn down the chance to become the next manager of MK Dons.

The 36-year-old is considering his options after leaving Los Angeles Galaxy earlier this week, and is understood to have been offered an immediate route into management by the League One Dons.

Gerrard has taken the offer under consideration and was expected to announce his decision on Monday, but ESPN now reports that he will reject the job.

The 114-time England international has also been linked with a coaching role at former club Liverpool, while Serie A giants Inter Milan have reportedly been in contact to offer him the chance to extend his playing career until the end of the season.

MK Dons, meanwhile, have been looking for a new manager since sacking Karl Robinson on October 23, with Richie Barker currently in caretaker charge.
