Harry Kane reveals Jurgen Klopp message

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane reveals that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praised his goal following the 1-1 draw between the two sides at Anfield.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has revealed that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp simply congratulated him on his goal following the 1-1 draw between the two sides at Anfield.

Klopp ran over to the England international after the final whistle having seen his goal cancel out an earlier Philippe Coutinho strike to earn Spurs a point on Merseyside.

The German manager embraced Kane before briefly speaking to the striker, who revealed that it was a message of congratulations for his clinical finish.

"He just said three words - 'What a strike' - which is nice to hear from an opposition manager. If I scored another one he might not have done that!" Kane told reporters.

The point saw Spurs slip seven points adrift of leaders Leicester City in the title race after the Foxes edged to a 1-0 victory over Southampton on Sunday.
