Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson: "It was about time I got a goal"

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson praises his side for getting all three points in Friday's 2-1 win at Chelsea, adding that he feels he was due a goal.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has praised his side for getting all three points in Friday's 2-1 win at Chelsea, adding that he felt he was due a goal.

The Reds skipper blasted home his team's second strike in the first half to help the visitors to a second consecutive victory at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking of the result, Henderson told Sky Sports News: "It keeps our momentum going. We have been training well and I had a good feeling going into the game.

"We knew it would be difficult as Chelsea are a good side but I thought we defended well and deserved the three points.

"It was about time I got a goal but I always say the most important thing is the three points."

The result puts Liverpool fourth in the Premier League table.
