Jordan Henderson: 'I'm improving at Liverpool'

Jordan Henderson says that he is improving under Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.

Jordan Henderson feels that he is getting better and better for Liverpool amid their fine start to the season.

The former Sunderland man, who has been under pressure to perform since moving to Anfield as a 20-year-old for £16m, has featured in a number of positions for the Reds on their way to moving second in the Premier League.

Despite being deployed as a wing-back as cover for the injured Glen Johnson, Henderson is happy with life on Merseyside under manager Brendan Rodgers.

"I enjoy it," Henderson told the club's website. "There are different challenges. I think you've just got to try and know the role that you are playing as best you can.

"I've played a few positions. But I think I've played them enough to know the role and the manager has helped me improve all the time in different positions and showed what he wants me to do.

"I went away and worked on that and so hopefully I can keep improving and do my best for the team."

Liverpool travel to face Newcastle United at the weekend.
