Jurgen Klopp: 'Crystal Palace are a proper football team'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hails Crystal Palace as a "proper" football team ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on Patrick Vieira's "proper" Crystal Palace side ahead of Saturday's Premier League encounter at Anfield.

The Eagles travel to Merseyside having trounced 10-man Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 last weekend, with Wilfried Zaha netting from the penalty spot before Odsonne Edouard netted a brace off the bench on his debut.

Liverpool welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield on an eight-game winning run against the Eagles in the Premier League, but Klopp is expecting a challenging encounter this time around.

Speaking to the media ahead of Saturday's game, Klopp said: "Massive [difference] in Palace. A proper football side. Patrick has a clear idea of how to set up and use the players.

"Incredible how strong they are up front. Edouard came in and scored twice. Ayew, Benteke, Zaha...quality. Gallagher in midfield, a talent. They will do well, I am pretty sure, but we have to do well as well and hopefully we can do that."

The Liverpool boss also confirmed that Roberto Firmino would not be available for Saturday's game due to the hamstring injury he sustained against Chelsea last month.
