Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that his side deserved their 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening.
A topsy-turvy first half saw the Reds twice squander one-goal leads before finally going into the break with a 3-2 advantage following strikes from Emre Can, Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip.
Roberto Firmino added a fourth in the second half to wrap up the win, and Klopp was happy with his side's performance despite a number of defensive errors.
"In the first 15 minutes we were not really at 100%, then in half an hour we created chance after chance. It was a close game and a deserved win at the end. I'm a very happy man," he told BT Sport.
"The defensive error we made for the first goal is because we are not at the limit of our concentration. The aggressiveness was not there at the start of the game. But I saw a lot of wonderful things today offensively.
"We work so long on [set pieces] and today finally we did it. It was a world class cross from Philippe Coutinho. In the second half, Palace did really well. In the first half both goals were kind of a present from us. It was difficult but, in the end, deserved and it feels good."
The victory keeps Liverpool joint top of the table, only behind Manchester City and Arsenal on goal difference.
