Liverpool are reportedly stalling over the compensation fee for Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers.

Brendan Rodgers's proposed move to Liverpool has reportedly reached a snag as the Merseyside club are believed to have stalled on a compensation fee for the Northern Irishman.

The Welsh club are thought to be looking for a payment in the region of £3m to £4m for Rodgers, who is on his way to Merseyside to finalise a three-year deal.

While the former Chelsea reserve coach looked set to sign on the dotted line, the deal could be halted due to Liverpool's decision to stall on a compensation agreement, according to Sky Sports News.

Rodgers has reportedly claimed that he feels "blessed" to be chosen by the 2005 Champions League winners and has insisted that the offer to manage the club was just too big to turn down.
