Simon Mignolet: 'Tottenham Hotspur display is the yardstick'

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet wants to see the squad replicate their performance against Tottenham Hotspur for the rest of the season.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has said that the team will look to replicate their performance against Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday for the remainder of the season.

The Reds were in irresistible form at Anfield as they swept aside the visitors 4-0, and the Belgium keeper wants to see displays on a similar level for the next half-dozen games.

If the Reds win their last six games, they will be crowned Premier League champions, and Mignolet told the club's official website that he hopes the team maintain their consistency, after winning the last eight matches.

"When we started the game, we scored very early which made it easier for us to play the game how we did," he said.

"We played a very good team individually and also as a collective, but we did our jobs really well. We were very pleased with the result and the goals we scored - we might have even scored a few more - but also with the clean sheet.

"We'll take all that on board and into the last six games of the season."

Brendan Rodgers's side travel to West Ham United on Sunday.
