Agent: 'No chance Martin Skrtel will leave Liverpool for Napoli'

There is "no chance" of Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel joining Napoli in the summer, according to the player's agent.

Martin Skrtel's agent Karol Csonto has refuted suggestions that the Liverpool defender will leave Merseyside for Napoli this summer.

The 29-year-old was previously tipped to reunite with former manager Rafael Benitez in Serie A after spending some time on the substitutes' bench at Anfield last season.

However, the centre-back has earned his way back into the first XI under manager Brendan Rodgers having started 30 Premier League games in this campaign.

"There is no chance of Skrtel going to Napoli," Csonto told Calciomercato. "His relationship with Rafa Benitez? There is nothing to add about this.

"What I can say is that Martin Skrtel will not go to Napoli. Skrtel will remain at Liverpool."

The Reds currently have a two-point lead over Chelsea at the top of the league table.
