Mohamed Salah facing longest goal drought for Liverpool

Mohamed Salah is at risk of going seven league games without a goal for Liverpool for the first time ever when the Reds taken on West Ham United on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah could go seven Premier League games without a goal for Liverpool for the first time ever when the Reds take on West Ham United in the capital on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp's champions had not found the back of the net in four league matches before taking on Tottenham Hotspur, whom they managed to beat 3-1 in midweek to end their barren run.

However, Salah was not among the scorers on the night, meaning that he has already equalled his longest spell of six matches without a league goal for Liverpool.

Should the winger fail to breach the Hammers' defence on Sunday, he will set an unwanted personal record of seven league games without a goal for the first time in his Anfield career.

Salah already boasts 13 goals in the Premier League but last struck in the top flight during December's rout of Crystal Palace, although he did net twice in the Reds' FA Cup defeat to Manchester United earlier this month.

West Ham would leapfrog Liverpool into the top four should they manage to prevail against the champions this weekend, but Salah does boast seven goals in his last seven league appearances against the capital outfit.
