Robbie Fowler: ‘I would love Liverpool return’

Robbie Fowler sets his sights on a coaching role at Liverpool.

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has said that he would happily return to the club as a coach.

The 36-year-old is currently working on his UEFA coaching badges having taken on roles at Milton Keynes Dons and Bury since his retirement from playing.

“If I’m being honest I would love to come back but it’s not really my choice,” he is quoted as saying. “If I could walk there tomorrow I would but it’s not the ideal world as we all know.

“Eventually that is obviously the aim, to try and get back there and be a part of that club again because I was there since I was 11 and it’s a big part of my life.”

Fowler last played for the Anfield outfit in 2007, joining latest club Perth Glory in 2010.
