Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has described Mario Balotelli as a "class act", but insists that he is not the main star of the team.
The Italy international is expected to make his debut in Sunday's clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield following his £16m move from AC Milan on Monday.
"It's not the Mario Balotelli show," Rodgers said in his weekly press conference. "He's talented, but he's got a lot of work to do. The star of this team is simply the team. Balotelli is a member of the team, he's top quality, a class act.
"He's settled in very well and looked fantastic in training. Focus very much on his football. He's a good lad."
Liverpool opened their Premier League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Southampton, but suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Monday evening.
