Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers: 'We need to add more goals'

Brendan Rodgers says that Liverpool are trying to improve the attacking side of their game.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he is working on ways of adding more goals to his team.

The Reds have witnessed their hopes of a return to Champions League football dashed following recent defeats to Manchester United and Arsenal.

Rodgers has acknowledged that the Reds must improve their attacking play, having scored 45 times in 31 Premier League games this season.

"We are still trying to find solutions at the top end of the field," he told Liverpool's official website.

"When everyone is fit and available we are able to compete with this squad, but our top goalscorer is on six goals. Three players on six goals. That's the reality of where we are at, and we have to find solutions for that.

"It's about finding what suits the players. We have obviously got a number of players out now and when we changed the system it suited them. We are always looking to find a way."

Liverpool are fifth in the table, seven points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City.
