Liverpool have re-opened a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table courtesy of a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday afternoon's clash at Anfield.
Harry Kane sent Spurs ahead inside the first minute of the contest, but Jordan Henderson levelled the scores early in the second half before a Mohamed Salah penalty secured all the points for the hosts.

Tottenham incredibly took the lead inside the first minute at Anfield when Kane headed home from close range.
A shot from Son Heung-min had deflected onto the post, and Kane was on hand to head into the back of the net from inside the box to give the visitors a huge lead inside a shocked Anfield.
Liverpool struggled in the period that followed as the visitors sat deep and closed the space. Two half-chances arrived down the left when Andrew Robertson was able to break free, but the Scot's first cross was gathered by Paulo Gazzaniga before Salah was eased out by Danny Rose for the second.
Jurgen Klopp's side were warming to their task, though, and Sadio Mane headed over the crossbar in the 20th minute before Salah tested Gazzaniga from distance as gaps started to appear in the Tottenham defence.
Tottenham had a couple of chances of their own in the 24th minute, however, with Dele Alli just failing to meet a cross from Kane before Christian Eriksen sent a low attempt wide of Alisson Becker's post.

Gazzaniga then had to make two wonderful saves to keep Tottenham ahead, with the Argentine keeping out a powerful Salah effort before denying Firmino from close range as opportunities continued to arrive.
The Spurs goalkeeper made an even better save just before the 30-minute mark to keep out a point-blank header from Virgil van Dijk as Pochettino's side somehow stayed ahead.
Trent Alexander-Arnold then tested Gazzaniga from distance before Mane headed behind from a dangerous position with Tottenham seriously riding their luck at Anfield.
Dejan Lovren had the home side's next opportunity in the 39th minute after another free kick had caused problems inside the box, but the Croatia international could not place his effort either side of Gazzaniga.
Liverpool had 76% of the possession and 10 attempts during a dominant first-half performance but were unable to find a route past the Tottenham goalkeeper as the visitors took a one-goal lead into the break.

Both teams had big chances to score early in the second period, but Firmino could not beat Gazzaniga with a header before Son hit the crossbar down the other end after taking the ball past Alisson.
The game's second goal did arrive in the 52nd minute, though, with Henderson managing to squeeze a low effort into the bottom corner after Rose had been pulled inside to challenge Firmino.
There was a chance for 2-1 in the 55th minute when Salah broke free inside the Tottenham box before connecting on the volley, but the Egypt international's effort lacked the power to trouble Gazzaniga.
The Spurs goalkeeper then kept out a header from Georginio Wijnaldum with Pochettino's side utterly penned in with Liverpool so incredibly dominant heading into the final 30 minutes of action.
Tanguy Ndombele for Harry Winks was Tottenham's first change in the 63rd minute, and the substitution was not a surprise with the visitors struggling to get out of their own half at Anfield.

Salah fired into the arms of Gazzaniga in the 66th minute as another opportunity arrived, and the gameplan from Spurs stayed the same as they sat deep and conceded a lot of space in the wide areas.
Liverpool were awarded a penalty in the 74th minute when Serge Aurier clumsily brought Mane to the ground, though, and Salah stepped forward to send the home side 2-1 ahead.
Tottenham improved in the latter stages as Liverpool naturally dropped a touch deeper, but the threat from the visitors was minimal in terms of serious attempts.
Rose had the away side's clearest opportunity in the 89th minute, but the left-back missed the crossbar with a powerful attempt before Toby Alderweireld headed straight at Alisson in the final exchanges as Klopp's side picked up a huge three points.
Next up for Liverpool is a home EFL Cup clash against Arsenal on Wednesday night, while Tottenham will continue their Premier League campaign away to Everton next Sunday.
