As champions-elect Liverpool prepare to take on Watford at Vicarage Road, Sports Mole looks at which records Jurgen Klopp's side could equal or break this weekend.

Liverpool take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening knowing that another victory would take them to within three wins of a first league title in 30 years.

The Reds have remarkably won 35 of their last 36 top-flight outings, including 26 of 27 this season, to build an unprecedented 22-point lead at the top of the table.

Records galore have already fallen in Liverpool's path as they continue to churn out win after win, and should they maintain that relentless form on Saturday then more could follow.

Victory for Jurgen Klopp's side would be their 19th in a row in the Premier League, surpassing the record of 18 held by Manchester City from the 2017-18 campaign.

Indeed, it would equal the longest winning run in the history of any of Europe's top five divisions, with Bayern Munich - again under Guardiola from October 2013 to March 2014 - the only other team to have reached 19 triumphs on the bounce.

Liverpool could also set a new club record of nine successive league victories away from home having not dropped a single point on the road since October 20.

Incidentally, another win would take the champions-elect up to 82 points with 10 games remaining - a tally which would have seen them win the title in seven previous Premier League campaigns.

The Reds could also make it 45 games unbeaten to close in on Arsenal's all-time English top-flight record of 49.
