Saido Berahino 'stalling on West Bromwich Albion deal'

Saido Berahino reportedly holds back on signing a new deal with West Bromwich Albion as he looks to secure a switch to Liverpool.

Saido Berahino is reportedly stalling on signing a new deal with West Bromwich Albion in the hope of earning a move to Liverpool.

The 21-year-old, who has scored 13 times in 24 games this season, has been heavily linked with a switch to Anfield over recent months.

The Mirror claims that the forward would prefer a move to the Reds rather than Tottenham Hotspur, who are also believed to be admirers.

The Baggies are thought to have offered a contract worth £65,000 a week to try to keep the England Under-21 striker at The Hawthorns, but the youngster appears reluctant to put pen to paper.

Berahino may have to wait for a move to Merseyside, however, with Liverpool believed to be unwilling to spend in January following a summer splurge of over £100m.
