Coutinho arrives for Barca medical
Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho arrives at a hospital in Barcelona to complete his medical ahead of his £146m move from Liverpool.

Philippe Coutinho has arrived at a hospital in Barcelona to complete his medical ahead of his move from Liverpool.

The 25-year-old is on the verge of swapping Anfield for Camp Nou in a £146m deal which will see him become the second-most expensive footballer of all time.

Both clubs have agreed terms and just formalities are left to complete now before Coutinho officially becomes a Barcelona player, which is expected to happen before midday today.

Coutinho will sign a five-and-a-half-year contract at Camp Nou which includes a £354.6m release clause, keeping him at the club until 2023.

The Brazilian leaves Liverpool having scored 54 goals in 201 appearances for the club across all competitions since his £8.5m switch from Inter Milan in 2013.
