Liverpool agree deal to sign James Milner, subject to a medical

Liverpool agree a deal to sign 29-year-old Manchester City midfielder James Milner on a free transfer, subject to a medical, after his contract at the Etihad expires.

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Manchester City midfielder James Milner on a free transfer, subject to a medical.

The 29-year-old England international has already agreed personal terms with the Anfield outfit and will join the club on July 1, with his contract having expired at the Etihad.

The winger spent five years in Manchester where he claimed two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and a League Cup crown.

It is thought that Milner will be one of many new arrivals at Anfield over the summer, with Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers looking to complete a deal for another free agent in the shape of Danny Ings.
