Liverpool plot Christian Benteke, Fabian Delph bid?

Liverpool are reportedly preparing January bids for Aston Villa duo Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph.

Liverpool have reportedly identified Aston Villa pair Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph as targets in this month's transfer window.

Brendan Rodgers's side are thought to be in the market for a striker after selling last season's top scorer Luis Suarez in the summer.

According to The Sun, the club is preparing to offer Villa £15m for the Belgian forward, who has also been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Meanwhile, The Mirror claims that Delph will be heading to Anfield with Benteke for a further £7.5m, in response to Steven Gerrard's announcement that he will be leaving at the end of the season.

Yesterday's 1-0 win over Sunderland has lifted Liverpool to eighth in the Premier League table.
