Los Angeles Galaxy confirm Steven Gerrard arrival

Los Angeles Galaxy confirm that Steven Gerrard will join the club in July.

Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena has confirmed that Steven Gerrard will join the club in July.

Gerrard announced last week that he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, with the MLS thought to be his likely destination.

The 34-year-old has inspired the Reds to 10 major honours since he made his professional debut back in 1998.

"Steven Gerrard arrives in July. He's a player of quality," Arena is quoted as saying by the LA Times.

The former England international recently revealed that he would have signed a new contract with Liverpool had one been offered to him before the start of the campaign.

Gerrard has scored nine goals in 27 games for the Merseysiders so far this season.
