Liverpool should reportedly receive £6m for Alberto Aquilani this weekend, if the midfielder plays his 25th game for AC Milan.

Liverpool are reportedly expected to receive £6m this weekend due to the proposed sale of midfielder Alberto Aquilani.

The Italian is currently on loan at AC Milan, which is due to come to a close at the end of the season.

The Merseyside club are expected to sell the 27-year-old to the Serie A side but should receive a £6m transfer bonus if Aquilani plays his 25th match for Milan this weekend, according to Setanta.

A clause in the player's loan agreement reportedly states that the fee is due to kick in when the playmaker reaches a 25-game tally for the Italian giants.

Aquilani had an unsuccessful term with the Reds after he moved to Anfield in 2009.
