Liverpool are reportedly on the brink of signing Yehven Konoplyanka after Tottenham Hotspur pulled out of the running for the Ukraine international.
The Reds lodged a bid thought to be in the region of £16m for the wideman on Wednesday, but Spurs were also reportedly showing an interest.
However, the North London club have now dropped their bid for the Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk winger, leaving the Reds with a clear path in negotiations, according to Goal.com.
Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre is said to be in Ukraine to finalise the deal ahead of Friday night's 11pm transfer deadline.
