Liverpool are reportedly considering making a move to sign Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi this summer.
The 26-year-old scored 17 goals and created eight more in 30 Serie A appearances last season, earning himself a place in the Italy squad for Euro 2020.
Berardi's form has continued to impress during the tournament, assisting a goal in both of Italy's two group games so far and helping establish the Azzurri as one of the early tournament favourites following back-to-back 3-0 wins.
Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport reports that those displays have caught the eye of Liverpool, who are considering Berardi as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah.
The Reds have no desire to move Salah on this summer, but there are lingering doubts over his long-term future at the club given that he only has two years remaining on his contract.
However, Liverpool could face competition for Berardi's signature, with both Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City also thought to be keeping tabs on the winger.
Sassuolo are understood to have put a €50m (£43m) asking price on the Italy international's head, having seen him come through the ranks at the club and go on to score 105 goals in 291 appearances for the first team.
