Liverpool are reportedly told to double their £10m valuation of Norwich City defender Jamal Lewis, with the Canaries holding out for a £20m fee.

Norwich City have reportedly told Liverpool that it will take a bid of £20m to sign Jamal Lewis this summer.

Jurgen Klopp is understood to have identified Lewis as a possible replacement for Dejan Lovren following his departure to Zenit St Petersburg, while his ability to play at left-back would also provide cover for Andrew Robertson.

The 22-year-old's future was cast into further doubt after Norwich's relegation to the Championship, although The Telegraph reports that they are determined not to lose their brightest young players on the cheap.

The Canaries rejected a £12m bid for Lewis from Crystal Palace during the January window and have now reportedly increased their asking price to £20m.

Liverpool are understood to value the defender at £10m and are hopeful of striking a similar deal to the one which saw them sign Robertson after Hull City's relegation in 2017.

Lewis made 33 appearances for Norwich during the 2019-20 campaign and is one of a number of players to have been linked with a move away following their relegation, along with Todd Cantwell, Max Aarons, Emiliano Buendia and Ben Godfrey.
