Liverpool identify Norwich City left-back Jamal Lewis as a potential signing ahead of next season, according to a report.

Liverpool are reportedly contemplating whether or not to make a move for Norwich City defender Jamal Lewis.

The 22-year-old turned out 28 times in the most recent Premier League campaign, but the Canaries ultimately suffered an immediate relegation back down to the Championship and will likely be forced to say goodbye to several players during the summer window.

Lewis has supposedly caught the eye of a number of top-flight clubs following his performances for Daniel Farke's side, and according to The Independent, Liverpool are the favourites for the left-back's signature.

The report claims that Jurgen Klopp is keen to provide some competition for Andy Robertson on the left-hand side of defence, and Lewis is represented by the same agency as Robertson and fellow Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Lewis will be out of contract at Carrow Road at the end of the 2022-23 season, but the Northern Ireland international could supposedly be available for just £10m this summer.

Having recently parted ways with Dejan Lovren following the Croatian's move to Zenit St Petersburg, Liverpool are rumoured to be eyeing up several defensive options and are reportedly close to completing a £9m deal for Real Betis centre-back Aissa Mandi.
