Report: Joe Allen to return to Swansea City

A report claims that Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen is closing in on a return to Swansea City after the two clubs agreed a £10m deal.

Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen is reportedly closing in on a return to Swansea City.

The 26-year-old, who has helped Wales qualify for the last-16 stage of Euro 2016, left Swansea for Liverpool in 2012, but has largely struggled to cement a regular place at Anfield.

Talk of a return to Wales has gathered pace in recent weeks and according to The Telegraph, the deal has moved closer after Swansea and Liverpool agreed a price of £10m for the central midfielder.

It is understood that the deal will be completed after this summer's European Championships.
