Report: Liverpool on verge of capturing Dele Alli

Liverpool are winning the race to sign MK Dons starlet Dele Alli, according to reports.

Liverpool are reportedly close to capturing the signature of MK Dons starlet Dele Alli.

The Reds opened talks with the 18-year-old earlier this week, according to the Daily Star.

Alli netted seven times in 37 appearances last term, with his performances leading to him being linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

It seems that his destination will be Merseyside, however, with Liverpool forcing the issue to get their man over the line ahead of their title rivals.

Liverpool are also said to be holding talks with Xherdan Shaqiri, Bayern Munich's out-of-favour Swiss midfielder.
