Liverpool have reportedly started negotiating with Bayern Munich over the transfer of Swiss winger Xherdan Shaqiri.
With their bid for Adam Lallana still on the table, the Reds have stepped up their interest in the versatile 22-year-old, according to the Daily Star.
The wide player has struggled to break into Bayern's first team, with Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery ahead of him in the pecking order.
Shaqiri can play on either flank, which is why Rogers is keen to bring him to Anfield ahead of a rigorous domestic and European campaign, the report suggests.
Liverpool began packing out their offensive options with the signing of England international Rickie Lambert last week.
