Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has hinted that the Reds could be active in the January transfer window.
The Merseyside outfit spent £117m in the summer, but have struggled to replicate last season's form and currently sit 10th in the Premier League table.
Fernando Torres has been linked with a return to Anfield and Rodgers has hinted that incomings are a possibility.
"If there is a possibility that we can strengthen in January, we will look at that," Rodgers told reporters.
"There will always be speculation, but I won't comment on any players."
Liverpool return to league action away to Burnley on Boxing Day.
