Liverpool have opened talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot on a six-month loan, according to reports.
The 19-year-old has been heavily linked with the Premier League over the past year or so, with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also reportedly interested in the youngster.
Serie A side Roma have previously made their desire to sign the Frenchman known, although any hopes of securing him on a permanent deal were hit by him signing a new five-year contract with the Ligue 1 champions recently.
However, PSG are understood to be willing to let the midfielder leave on loan, which has alerted Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.
The Merseyside outfit have suffered a disappointing first half to the season, and Rodgers is expected to dip into the transfer market in an effort to turn his side's ailing fortunes around.
According to Le 10 Sport, Rabiot has been highlighted as a target, with a possible six-month loan deal being mooted.
Rabiot has made just two league starts for PSG so far this season.
